โ๏ธ ๐๏ธ 2-Day Kolkata Itinerary โ Perfect Weekend in the City of Joy ๐๐
I stepped out of my hotel in Park Street early morning, the cool breeze carrying the scent of fresh flowers from nearby markets. Kolkata was already stirring โ the ringing of tram bells, the call of street vendors selling cha, and the rhythmic footsteps of morning walkers along the Maidan. My name is Aarav, and this was my very first time in the City of Joy, the cultural capital of India.
I had 2 days to explore, and I wanted to experience everything โ the colonial heritage, the river, the street food, and the hidden corners that only locals know. With a map in hand, a charged phone, and apps like Ola, Uber, and Kolkata Metro, I felt confident navigating the city like a local. I also saved important numbers โ Police: 100, Ambulance: 102, Women Helpline: 1091, and Tourist Police: 033-22143025 โ just in case. Safety first, even when adventure calls.
Walking along Park Street’s pavements, I noticed the fascinating blend of old and new โ historic colonial buildings beside modern cafรฉs and bookstores. Street vendors sold everything from fresh mishti to colorful handicrafts. The chaos didn’t feel overwhelming; it felt alive, vibrant, and welcoming.
